Handful of Blessings Pt. 3

Let’s face it…we all need a little inspiration now and then.  We all need that little pick-me-up that comes from words of encouragement.  We all enjoy seeing something that makes our own hearts fill with hope.  We feel blessed when someone speaks life into our desolate day or fills our hopeless heart with the excitement of tomorrow.

Where do you get your inspiration from?  Does it come from self-help books or how-to television shows?  Do you look around and seek inspiration and encouragement from the things this world has to offer?

GO DIRECTLY TO THE SOURCE:

God’s word is our greatest source of inspiration.

All scripture is breathed out by God, and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

In order to inspire others, we must first be inspired ourselves.  The best place, the true place, to look for this inspiration is in the word of God, which is filled with encouragement and promise.  It is filled with honesty and truth.  It is our guide for how to live out our lives each day in the will of God.

Are you running to his word to be uplifted and inspired? What other resources are you using for inspiration?

Sanctify them in truth; your word is truth.” (John 17:17)

There is nothing truer, or more inspiring than God’s word.  If we want to truly inspire others, we must be filled with His promises.  We must practice the things we are encouraged to do, such as humility, grace, compassion, and love.

Practice makes perfect.  Are you practicing these attributes of Christ in your own life?

Where are you falling short and what can you do to overcome that area of your life?

BE THE SOURCE FOR OTHERS:

"For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” (Luke 12:12)

Okay, so now you have studied His word. You have filled your heart and mind with encouragement and inspiration.  Now you want to go out and inspire others, but fear of failure is holding you captive.  “What if I don't know what to say?” “Will they understand me?”  “Will I be ridiculed?”

We must trust in God, and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit.  When we store up His words in our heart, they are there, within us, for God to use in His perfect timing.  He will place others before us who need to be inspired, and if our hearts are true to wanting to be an inspiration, He will give us opportunities to do just that.

Those words that you have stored in your heart will be brought to the surface, and you will be able to inspire others, and to bring them a sense of hope and promise.  What a reflection of Jesus we are when we are able to inspire!

What fears do you struggle with when it comes to being an inspiration to those around you? What has helped you overcome some of those fears?

But it is the spirit in breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.” (Job 32:8)

With the Holy Spirit alive in you, you will have the wisdom to be an inspiration to others through your words and your actions.  You will have the power to encourage and bring hope to those who need it most.  You will be able to use the word of God to take action against the devil.

Are you ready to accept the challenge? Does your heart desire to inspire others?

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to build up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn.” (Isaiah 61:1-2)

Ladies, the Lord has given us the power to inspire!  He has anointed us to be able to offer encouragement to those who are hurting and mourning.  He has given us freedom words for those who are bound up in the chains of discouragement, insecurity, and sorrow. Use what the Lord has given you.  Don't be afraid to step out and be the inspiration He his calling you to be.  Proclaim his words of inspiration for all those around you to hear.

You hold the PROMISE of inspiration in your hands and your heart💜
