Does Your Heart Need An Overhaul?

Have you ever been fooled by someone? On the outside they appeared to be so wonderful, so amazing that you felt blessed to call them “friend”, but on the inside...

Or perhaps you have been that person. You put on a great show for those around you, making it appear that you had a heart filled with love for humanity, a desire to serve others, genuine concern for someone, and a spirit of happiness. But the truth was...you had no love for others, no desire to do anything for anyone, only focused on yourself, and didn’t know the first thing about happiness. Maybe life had dealt you some really tough blows and you just had nothing left to give.

People can really put on a show when they want to. They can make others believe they are the exact opposite of who their hearts say they are. And we are often fooled by that. After all, we are only human and we tend to hope for the best in others.

However, there is One who is never fooled by the falsities of mankind. God sees right through our fake smiles and false words. He knows the truth of our hearts. And what joy He feels when He looks st the heart of one of His sweet and precious daughters and sees love, compassion, honesty, and grace. How happy He must be when our inner self reflects a heart of goodness and service.

Ladies, is it possible you could use a little heart overhaul? Are there some things tucked into your heart today that shouldn’t be there? Maybe you have built up some anger, bitterness, hostility, unforgiveness or fear? God can help you flush those things from your heart. He can heal whatever wounds are keeping you in bondage. He can release your heart and set it free to experience the good stuff that will permeate your heart and reflect out of you into the lives of those around you.

We we can all be a blessing. We can all make a difference. We can all spread joy and love, and the beauty of the gospel. It starts with a pure heart.
